BTS’s RM Breaks Record As Highest Korean Solo Artist To Debut On Billboard 200
"mono." is the highest ranking Korean album to debut on BIllboard 200 by a Korean soloist.
BTS's streak of breaking record after record seems to know no end as member RM just broke another record on Billboard 200! Just last week, RM released his latest solo album, titled "mono." He had released it free for his fans through various digital-download and streaming services.
In less than three days of chart activity, "mono." debuted at No. 26 on Billboard 200! Nielson Music announced that "mono." earned an equivalent of 21,000 album units in its first week. 16,000 of that sum were traditional album sales.
The previous record holder for the highest solo album from a Korean soloist was BTS's J-Hope. His mixtape, "Hope World", peaked at No. 38 this past March.
We stan you, RM.
